Discount Settings

Set up reusable discounts here, then apply them to students from the Students page.

Discounts are applied in the student list — either to one student or to several at once with the bulk action.

Name

The name of the discount.

Type

Percentage or Absolute. This determines how the amount is interpreted: a percentage discounts a share of the fee, while an absolute value discounts a fixed amount.

Amount

The value of the discount. For a percentage, the maximum is 100.

If type is percentage and the amount is 10, then 10% of the fee is discounted (₹ 20 off a ₹ 200 fee).

If type is absolute and the amount is 10, then a flat ₹ 10 is discounted.

Fees

The fees this discount applies to. A discount only affects the fees selected here.

Discounts support trashing — deleted discounts can be restored. When a discount is changed, affected invoices are recalculated automatically in the background.
